I almost got mine pulled when I was in my early 20s. Now, I was having absolutely no issues with them but my normal dentist was on vacation and his replacement kind of talked me into it even though he would not be the one performing the procedure. I know that they don't like trying to clean them but I think it was more so that he was going to get a kickback from the oral surgeon. Anyways, I went home and talked to my wife about it and she questioned why I would go through that if I was having no pain and my teeth weren't getting pushed around by these. I ended up changing my mind and when I told the dentist he actually got so mad that he started cursing. I told him to pound sand and that I would consider getting it done when I started having problems. It's been almost 25 years since and I still have never had a problem. I do go to great lengths to make sure I brush them as well as I can though. Maybe that's the key.....
To this day I have still never had to have a tooth pulled but I have had a few small cavities. I've also never had a broken bone.....
My Dad lost every single one of his teeth when he was 16 due to some kind of gum disease....

Had my pulled at 18 right before I started college. Guess I was one of
the lucky ones, all 4 pulled, 1 stitch and I went out with my friends
later that night

Still have all my wisdom teeth. My dentist was always after me to take out my wisdom teeth. And I didnt really know why. Couple years ago the Doc says "we need to get those out". I told him they dont bother me, got a good bite whats the issue? "Its just a good practice" he told me. I said Doc, God gave me 32 teeth for a reason. I think I'll keep 'em." Last time I was in for a cleaning I asked the hygenist about the wisdom teeth policy. She said they changed it. Only take them out if necessary.

Got mine out when I was 19. Not enough room for them. I remember waking up half way through the surgery, The doc was up on top of the chair, his knee in my shoulder and both hands were on some sort of Frankenstein pliers. I opened my eyes and he looked at me and said "oh hello".

I had my upper two removed when I was about 42 back in the 90's. I never grew any bottom ones. I got pretty stoopid for a bit after my wisdom teeth got removed. They put me under light anesthetic and I don't remember much about afterward. They said they were talking to me and I was answering but I don't remember it. I know I sure slept good when I got home.

He'd have to be a LOT older than me if he's older than dirt. I'm still a puppy!

As a boot Seabee CBU-415 NASO Virginia Beach the dentist told me the bottom two were coming out. Was awake when the teeth were broken. I thought that was the worst until I developed something called "dry socket".

I'll pass on any VA dental treatment.

Got hit with a fastball at age 35 or so, that took care of the left side after oral surgery. It also led to losing several other teeth on the left side both top and bottom.

Had the right side taken out by oral surgery at about 45. pretty painless. Get a shot count to ten and wake up 45 minutes later with a wad of cotton in my mouth. Lots easier than the first time around.

17 years old, December 27, 1983. Dr. DeJulian, DDS.
Escondido, CA.
2 popped out like popcorn
2 fractured into several pieces to remove.
Came to during procedure, head wrapped in DeJulians hairy arm, thumping on my lower jaw with some kind of impact hammer. He says "profanity...he's waking up! blah blah blah...
I end up swollen like a chipmunk for about a week, but then everything settles in.
I remember it like it was yesterday and still have my teeth in an envelope in my closet! I'm kinda like that.
