FYI . If anyone traveling thru Wisconsin watch out. From Madison I39 to north of Portage, closed and I90/94 closed to Mauston (mile marker 69). They have detours and I bet it's a MESS. They are even telling Illinois people to stay home. The rivers most likely will start going down mid week.

The rivers around the area are forcasted to be rising till Monday. I imagine the roads will be closed all next week still. We have a condo up in La Crosse WI and will be traveling thru there also next Friday. Looks like the backroads for us
.
.
Stay away from highway 12 if at all possible until the interstate opens up. Bumper to bumper for pretty much ever. Took me 3hr.-15min. to get from Madison to Sparta. (typically a 2 hour drive) And that was going around the traffic! I-90 was backed up for 8 miles from the Baraboo exit north.
Looks like the backroads for us next wekend
. I hope they open up the roads but I am afraid there will be bridge repairing, detours and backed up traffic. The crazy "zipper" drivers will be trying to cause accidents between detours. I'll avoid Madison to get away from the traffic. Probably go thru Evansville,Belleview, Mount Horeb then get 14 to La Crosse. The backroads have lots of deer at dusk up there, sure hope it's all open later. thanks for the information.
