wireless broadband service
wireless broadband service
Anyone using wireless broadband on the road?
i seen a booth set up at a Flying J truck stop recently that sprint/nextel had an offer for wireless service that supposedly will work nearly anyplace in the country. Unlimited use for 49.95 a month.
Only problem i seen was you had to sign up for a 2 year contract . I remember doing that years ago with a cell phone plan and after i got it and started travling i found it did not service the areas as advertised.

They work great. I have several customers with Sprint, and a couple on Verizon. They dont travel cross country, but many up the west coast and middle of USA. They said they lose it once in awihle but pretty much anywhere you have cell phone coverage you have broadband internet.
I have a Cingular Smart Phone and pay an extra $20 a month for unlimited internet. My Cingular service has worked well from Texas to Colorado to Cali. I can only assume the broadband will work as well.
It's slow, but at least it's email and internet on the road.
