Willie Nelson busted....
Dang, I saw this thread earlier, and went upstairs and told my roommate, and he had just read it online also. I've never even so much as touched the stuff, but as I like to tell folks, the only way I'd smoke it is if I was somewhere Willie was and I smoked some with him.

Only way I'd ever smoke any is if the government made it illegal.
Like, then I'd do it in protest.
Hey guys...it is against the law!
Just because he has been violating the law for a long time, does not mean he is special and should be allowed to go on doing it.
You break the law, sooner or later you get busted.

I think I would support that protest.................

..............as long as there was enough Cereal and Milk for a late night snack.
*sigh* I really think it's pothetic that IRS didn't leave Willie enough left to buy a pound and a half. It had to be someone elses.......

Granted you are right, but smoking pot should have been legalized decades ago. Makes no sense to keep wasting money & time chasing something that is less harmful than alcohol.
Geico, you are my hero. We have went over this a few times that I know of here, it usually ends bad.
Although I am a non-smoker now, I still hold to my opinion. I know of hundreds of people (personally) whose lives have been drastically effected by alcohol, some of them still here, others gone for good. Some left a hole in my heart. One guy I knew was killed by a drunk driver while he slept on his living room couch in the privacy of his own home.
(She got 18 months)
Point is, YES, marijuana is illegal. Our government just needs to figure out a way to make millions a year on it, then it will be just as acceptable as alcohol.
No need to get mad or upset. Just consider this: The drug "war" is a machine, one in which a lot of people get paid on. Judges, Lawyers, DA's, LEO's, CO's, public defenders, bail bondsmen, dog the bounty hunter, the list goes on and on.
I can see why we have to keep going around acting like weed is a deadly substance. But at least (as a government) acknowledge how dangerous and destructive the drug that is legal can be.
PJ is right, if they could figure out a way to tax it, it would be legal, but there would be so many "boot leggers" (like when everybody made and sold monnshine) that it would be very hard.
I've never done it and even if it was legal I probably wouldn't.I just seen to people use it and then end up on a harder and harder drugs that just frys their brain.
Now on the flip side of that, I seen alot of people just just smoke pot, like people drink beer, no alot, they don't get into anything harder that weed so I don't know.
Everyone has that line, some people can drink and never "need" it, other can't same with drugs.
