Will energy bill kill pickups?
Will the new energy bill kill the sales of pickups? I can't see pckups getting even close to 35 MPG and still be useful unless they build them out of titanium. For every pickup that gets 25 to 30 MPG they would have to sell another vehicle that gets 40 to 45 MPG to even things out.
I wrote my congressional representatives months ago asking that they only go to maybe 30 MPG for light trucks.
I don't have a truck right now, but I still think business will be hurt big time if they can't buy pickups. My daily driver already gets over 35MPG on diesel.

This is totally a play on words, but I would guess it has to do with just cars, as EVERY report i have heard (Not read anything about it yet) specifically states cars. A car to me is just that, not a truck. But who knows.
