Why lift a dually?

I like a lowered 2wd 3500 and a mildly lifted 4wd 2500.
That's just me.

I bought my truck with 35's and a 4'' lift. You guys are right, they are not practical but look good. Now the mudders are gone and I'm getting ready to remove the lift and take it down to levelled height. Tired of jacking the slide in camper up sitting on top of 12'' blocks.
I got a better question for ya. Why have a dually with a bed cover. If you aren't hauling a gooseneck or fifth wheel why have the dually? I mean why stop there. Just get a Freightliner for a daily driver, and be the top dog.
Guys this is my work truck i tow atleast a few times a week from my littel enclosed welding trailer to customers boats (35 FOOT GRADY WHITE ) To my 30 foot flat bed loaded with steel or cars or saud ive had it olmost bottomed out in the rear (morron at home depot couldnt load a traier rite) And ive had it up to the rochers in mud at a trucks gone wild event it my work truck and my daily driver you can have a lifted dually and use it but you do have me on the goos neck id hafto weld up my own trailer i guess. And they do good off road
Diesel is kiling me tho

a buddy of mine down here has a slammed chevy dually and it is a gooood looking truck but personaly i like to off road evrytime i get a chance wich i wish was more than it is but hey lets face it when done properly they can both still be functional lifted or dropped
In my case, my tonneau cover rolls up, so there is no lost utility except for maybe that 1" the cover protrudes into the box at the front. Second, when I bought my truck, my truck was cheaper than just about any of the 2500's I was looking at. Made sense to buy it. Its not like a dually is all that much more truck than a 2500 though. Same frame, same suspension, same drivetrain, same body. Only difference is I have 6 tires to everyone elses 4. Better traction in the summer time. Worse in the winter though.
I might be picking up a 2500 shortly. That truck wil have a tonneau cover on it as well.
