The pic's I posted were of a M-50 ONTOS. Those of you that were in the crotch (aka USMC) back in the 60's might remember them.<br>They carried 6 each 106mm (4.1 inch) recoiless rifles and had a range of over 3000 meters. A six round salvo (all at once) of flechettes would actually clear out a section of forest 1/4 mile x 1/4 mile (40 acres). The backblast would clear out an area of 100 meters.<br>Most of them were powered by a 361 Dodge gas burner. They were just over 12 ft long and 8 ft wide.<br>The history trivia lesson is over for the day.

 

What do you guys think about the Mossberg 590DA 12ga. tactical shotgun?<br><br>I'm thinking of buying one with my tax money. I read a artical some where on the net that said this was one of the best tactical shotguns (off the shelf) out there. I own a few Remington shotguns all 870s but those are Turkey and Deer guns. <br><br>I've seen them priced anywhere between $250 and $600 depending on what options they have on them. One thing I know I want is a Ghost Ring site. Other than that I'm not sure?<br><br>Just kinda brainstorming here. any info would help.<br><br>Thanks<br>DB

 

I have never really been a fan of the Mossberg guns, always have seemed kinda cheap.<br><br>I have always used Browning, Winchester, and Benelli.

 

Nothing. I own twelve handguns but don't carry any of them.

A pick handle and a Caucasian Mountain dog. He will not bark but has a sense of fear/terror. If you know these dogs you know what I mean. Can't have no law hassle either!
