Being a relatively new member, I never got the chance to know Nowel, but I wish I had as it's clear that he must have touched a lot of lives. My sympathies are with his friends and family and this difficult time. God bless.

Re:We've lost our friend Nowel - HVAC

As each of us complete our journey we leave behind our contributions for others to remember us by. I did not know nowel except recently through these threads and I can tell that I could have learned much from him. I hope that his family can take some comfort in knowing that his knowledge will be passed down through these pages through his friends .
Deepest regards,
John & Sharron

I always read Nowell's comments with great interest - - it was obvious he knew what he was talking about and shared that knowledge with all of us. He will be missed. Our prayers are with his family.
I always take these times to remind myself how short life really is and how suddenly it can end. HHMMMM, now what is really important?

We are sorry to hear of Nowel's passing, and extend to his family our deepest sympathy. I have the address from the link for the trust fund, and a check will be in the mail.

We will miss you Nowel. :'( I was only able to meet you a couple of times but in the times I was able to be around you I knew you were and individual of caring, integrity, and value. You have left us wondering why? Not matter what questions we have, we know that you will never be forgotten and we thank you for everything you've done, both in friendships and the sport of diesel. God Bless You Nowel, you will truly be missed. My deepest sympathies go out to everyone who was close to him.

I am very sorry to hear about this, my heart dropped when I fired up the net. & pulled up DTR, I as all were hoping for good news, but God has a plan & purpose for everything, sometimes we can't see past them, & it leaves us wondering why this could happen to such a great person, I did not know him really, just chatted with him a few times here on DTR, & I can say he was a very knowledable person from what I could gather & I had lots of respect for him as I do all of you folk on this board, I will keep the Thomas Family in my prayers.

DRecu!

This is a very sad day for everyone that knew Nowel, And those that never had the chance to meet the nicest man I know.He was a blast to be around at the races and the shows. The show at Tulaire was the last time I saw him but not the last time I talked to him.For that was just a few short weeks ago.The Shows and Races will not be the same without him. Please let us Know when the services will be as I would like to come.Mike,Chris,Blair and Richard, Thanks for all the work you did to keep us up to date on his condition. My condolences to his Sister and Grandmother.

With deepest symphony, Mike

Our condolences to Nowel's family and freinds.
It amazes me how we sit in front of these keyboards and can read, type and share posts with folks who we may never meet, and yet we can feel like we know them as if they live next door. It is very apparent that a very large group of folks from all walks of life will greatly miss this man or a chance to meet him in person. However, I'm sure that the memories of HVAC and "The Red Rocket" will live on for a long time to come.

God Speed Nowel,

My sympathy goes to Nowel's family. Nowel and his family will be in my prayers. I never had a chance to get to know him, but from the sound it, he'll be tearing up the diesel drag strip in Heaven.

HVAC was a great contributor to this site and a friend to many. He will be greatly missed. I think that it is a wonderful tribute to his character that so many have responded on this thread. My prayers are with him and his family.
