Western Plow Mount 3rd to 1st Gen

I just purchaced a Western Ultra Mount plow that came off of a 2005 1500 Ram and I was wondering if anyone knows if the 05 dodge mount will fit my 89 w350 with little or no mods or would I be better off getting a new mount (although I just spent a edited by admin load of money on the whole set up and don't think the wife will be to happy to find out that I need more $$$).

First of all, welcome to the site!

Secondly, (in reference to edited by admin ) we don't DO that kinda thing here. (Hey, I'm the janitor, I GOTTA keep things clean!)

Thirdly, no it won't fit. It could be modified to fit I guess, but by the time you got done fiddling around with it, cutting and welding, you coulda just bought the right one and still be ahead. But then I'm not sure if the frame plates for an 89 will mate with the head gear for an 05 model year plow. Let us know how it turns out if you could please!

chaikwa.

You can't even get a mount. At work we have an 89 gasser and wanted to put an ultra mount on it, we are getting a new truck instead.
