Yeah, they plow the roads at least a couple of times a season in PA so you should be able to go visit at least once!

Wellsboro...... Mountain Country. Used to be a big coal area. Yeah that hard petroleum. And we don't buy it from the arabs. LOL

That's a 200 year old town. I guess the pioneers were traveling through there, the wagon wheel broke and they say. . "We're here"!

A very close friend of 45 years parents lived in Wellsboro. His whole family is up there. Religious area too. That said, you can't carry your gun so plan on them running youins out of there on a rail.

Susquahanna river is near by and pretty good fishing. Bear and little bear behinds, Wabbits, Racoons, and Dear are the local game. Summers are nice and it does get up to the 90's, one day a year. As said, winters are a. . . . well you fill in those blanks. Friendly people, Red Neck country. Lots of run down beer joints. You'll fit right in. End of the local color.

Congrats on the yob. It's about 3 hours from me so if you get in a jam, shoot up a flare.

I've encountered that heat and humidity...not nice but I can take it.
The cold you will encounter will be fine.
Hook me up, I am on my way. We can rub scars.

Enjoy and congrats.

We have REAL winter clothes up here if you need any.

287 is nowhere near Wellsboro. Wellsboro is on Rt 6 west of Rt 15. 86 runs above there, about 75 miles.

Oh yeah, I forgot, that is the area for Pensylvainia crude too.

Get used to driving through a bunch of bergs and villes. 2 and 3 lane highways, and have you ever seen a run-away lane?

You may have looked at the wrong Wellsboro. Been there a few times. That's how I know the area. It's way north west of Scranton in the heart of some real country. 287 doesn't run in PA.. It's a north / south route. Once 287 leaves Jersey it heads north east.

You're in my country now. LOL

Wellsboro is about 200 miles NW of me. I'm just outside of Philly. Check out the Pa chapter. MDTCD is having our Fall on Oct 22 and 23 in Dillsburg. Dillsburg is about 150 miles south on Route 15 an about 10 miles north of Gettysburg. Keith
