weigh stations

Does anyone know if I have to stop at the scales in IL and MO with a pickup truck and small utility trailer (6 x 14). Won't have any weight at all was just curious if I had to stop. Thanks

Don't know if your DOT numbers make a difference or not but I've driven thru MO & IL a number of times w/ my truck and a 16' tandem axle car hauler trailer and never stopped and never had a problem. I do have private tags, not commercial, so I can't speak to the DOT # part of it but I'd suspect that you can just cruize on thru.

175 trucks and hour pass the scale house here. You will **** off the truckers and MDOT will just wave you through. I know this, the MDOT scale house guy is a buddy of mine.

*If your going through St Louis, watch your speed. STLMODOT (blue pickups) will bust you, being you have the dot stickers.

Otherwise, they have bigger targets to pick on...
