Re:WATER COOLER THREAD - Feb 2nd through Feb 9th

Temp's dropped 25 degrees in the last hour and a half or so. Sending eastbound as fast as it'll go.
No doubt it was Monday today. It had to pull a good 30 inch vacuum. Hope the 9th Monday this week is better.

G'mornin y'all,
This is my Monday ... should be a doozy. The finance guys-in-ties are comin for a visit this afternoon to check out my operation. They ought to know better than to put me in charge of $$.
They are making some management changes and now I will be working with for a civilian instead of a fellow Chief. Hmmmm this should be interesting (no offense to you civilians, just kinda set in my ways, that's all).

Shortround ... I may call for reinforcement. Stand by.

PISTOL
Re:WATER COOLER THREAD - Feb 2nd through Feb 9th

PW,
Standing by. When your DWI (Dealing With Idiots) as much as I am, life gets fun.
Had a good dose of it yesterday afternoon. Had one of the shop chiefs come in raising 9 kinds of stink about ME not doing any maintenance on his unit's equipment in 7 years. Went over to the maintenance master file and pulled the records on the equipment in question. Yep, he was right. HOWEVER, it was his responsibility to perform his level of maintenance and then at certain schedules times, bring it in to my shop.
Insert forcefully, bend sharply, break it off.
He was then informed to load the gear back up, drive ~100 miles, off load, bring up to standards, and then he could schedule when to bring it into the shop.
Kinda made my day. Nothing like the new breed of officer. Makes me want to write a song titled "Basking in the light of my own self importance". Don't know whether to make it country or humor.
If this job wasn't so much fun, I'd retire.
