Afternoon all,

Great day here in Casa Grande, AZ. Sunny and comfortable 70's temps.
on way to swimming pool and hot tub.
Got to enjoy the race with no interuptions. Wife is in Texas, helping our daughter move. It was a disaster with U-Haul. Truck the gave wife, a manual because she can drive one, had no 1st or 2nd gear. Ran out of oil on the Sam Houston tollway. Lost its brakes, the fluid emptied. The A/C did not work.
The U-Haul daughter was driving got pulled over for excessive smoke.
It was not a good move for them. U-Haul was not very helpful. Told my wife to put oil in the truck and return it to where she rented it. convinced them to tow it home.
Miss the wife, but there is a lot that can be said for piece and quiet.

Up @ OMG500 hrs.
Set up coffee & donuts for 8,000 riders heading out at 0900 to join up with the other 300,000 bikes in the Pentagon parking lot for Rolling Thunder XIX.
Then break down tables and chairs, stow all the other stuff 'til next year.
Then take a much needed power-nap.

Just finished cutting grass on my two yards.
NOW, It's Corona time.

Y'all B safe.
And remember all those families that lost service members who made the ultimate sacrifice so WE can live safely in the Land of the Free, and the Home of the Brave.

God Bless America

Hey, thanks Fronty. Somehow Speedo and those things just don't compute. However, that pretty blue thing would look great on Scott with his pink Speedo. Wow, sexy. Look at that thing, big boy - - what ye think. I think Punta Dunta girl would dig that setup.

Dang civilians hijacked the SKUTTLEBUTT thread again, but they did start it first. I had the Mid watch and missed my chance to start it.

Pistol & me will be plotting a take over next week.

Stay tuned boys & girls.

Plot loooong and hard, 'cause we're gonna be on the lookout for ya now!

Arrrgh! I HATE bein' out here in Massachusetts. Our barn manager out in Michigan called this AM to tell me we have a massive water leak at the watering hydrant in one of our pastures. Now she hasta go to the pump house and turn the water on/off everytime she needs to fill the watering trough. Not a big deal I guess, but just another thing to add to the 'to-do' list for when I get back. Not to mention she already does enough stuff for us that she really doesn't get paid to do. Guess it's been in the 90's out there, so the water doesn't last long.

Pretty warm here today too. It's only 0930 and it's already up to 82 degrees.

Awright, I'm done ranting. The 's done, so grab some before it evaporates!

Mornin Gang,

Another glorious but warm morning here - - great for a good dip in the pool. Taking out the sis-in-law for her birthday and some party time here at the house afterwards. So, looks like a lazy day. Noticed a screw in one of my tires last night, so that will hasten my trip to my friendly Goodyear dealer to put two new tires on - - I will buy one and use the spare. Not bad for 50K and towing a heavy fiver most of those miles. The rest of the tires look really good yet.

Take care and God bless our troops and our great country.

Hey, hey ...

Doing a bit of dog-sitting for the next few days. My buddy brought over Bear, his 10 yo chocolate lab to keep me company for a few days. What a cool dog even though he snores like a freight train.
He even takes himself for a walk ... grabs the leash in his mouth and walks a few steps in front. And talk about being a chick magnet ... at least 20 people walked by and he didn't pay them no nevermind ... until a good looking young lady came by. Walked right up and gave her the kind of "hello" that would make a sailor blush !! She smiled and thought he was cute ... WHAT A COOL DOG !!!

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend ... say a good word to the Lord for the men and women in uniform, past and present.

You tried though.
I had to combine them, and the one that actually got posted first automatically moved to the top.

Better luck next week.

Wink

THANK YOU FiverBOB, MEXSTAN, and all you gooduns that let us have a summer day!!
We hit 94 at the river and 50 degree water felt pretty darn good (until the numbness made you fall down)
spent wonderful days moving rocks (no phones or thinking involved!)
spent wonderful nights of campfires, huge ships passing and Canadian loons sweetly serenading the view at sunset.

I agree, for all we have individually- God's peace and comfort to all of you out there going through some stiff upper lip times. May you have true friends with great big shoulders.

Get out on the moto'bikes; into the fishing creeks, onto the picnic blankets
or "peaceful mowing" hehehe AND CELEBRATE THE LITTLE THINGS THAT MAKE YOUR LIFE VERY SPECIAL!!! me?
I am going back to movin' rocks and LOVIN' IT!!!

Justwannabeme, you are very welcome to share some of the Paradise type weather we have here almost every day.
Just arrived home a few minutes ago in a thunderstorm. Maybe 'deluge' would be a better word. We needed rain, but did it have to all arrive at the same time? A bit of hail mixed in with it also. When it rains this hard the local streets tend to flood within 20 minutes and by flooding I am talking curb to curb water. To the top of the curb, that is. Some of the speed bumps I went over on the way home were actually mini rapids. Found out that when driving in water over about 2" deep that my 315 tires throw out an impressive shower of water ahead and to the side of the truck. 6 inches and deeper at about 15 MPH allows me to send a huge waterfall way beyond each curb on a two lane road. Had to slow down to a crawl for every oncoming car or else I would have drowned them.
Guess I will be greasing my tie rod ends tomorrow as they are sure to have water in them.

Monday comes on Wednesday for me.
First day back at work since last Thursday.
Looks like nobody touched a thing since I've been gone.
Work load sitting in the database is waaaay past "You've Gotta Be Kidding" status.
Looks like someone is going to be getting some OT to try to put a dent in this mess.

NEWS FLASH!!!! From ABC Morning News:
Juan Valdez is retiring.

Somehow, that 1st cup-o-coffee just ain't gonna be the same.
