Re:Water Cooler..... 7-13 Sep 03

Morning to all of yuh. What a night!!!! Been up half the night pumping water to stop my house floating away. In all my time in Mexico I have never seen rain like we have had in the last two weeks or so. Last night is rained ALL night. At times it was like a cloudburst with the thunderstorm right overhead. Spectacular show. Lot's of places in trouble around me. The road outside is still semi-flooded. Heading out in about two hours to a gumbo area so will be using the 4WD a lot. I know already some places will be impassible. A week and a half ago got a call from a friend nearby whose house was being flooded. When I arrived the downstairs toilet was one step away from becoming a fountain. Numerous fountains from various spots on her walls. She has lived there for 18 years and never had water in the house. The wx pattern is definitely changing around here.

Did ya know that when you fill the truck bed full of squash, it's heavy
Over the top of the wheel wells and guess what, it's all sold.
~1800 lbs @ .69 lb. That will work ;D
HOWEVER, can I do it every week

Re:Water Cooler..... 7-13 Sep 03

Just got home a little while ago. Wife made me change outside before I entered the house because I was covered in red mud. Major cleanup due in and out on the truck tomorrow. Got stuck big time in that red wet mud. Sank to the axles on both wheels (front on rear) on the RH side. Sorry to admit this but ...... I got towed out by a Ford 4X4 SUV and about 10 guys pushing. That is after we jacked the truck up and put 4X4's under the tires. That mud is so slippery we all had trouble keeping our footing just to walk normally! So after 3 hours sleep last night, about 2 hours getting unstuck, think I will go to bed early, specially as I have a 7 a.m. meeting.

Hey everyone ...
Sounds like Shortround is off the decaf again !

Looks like we will be evacuating to Orlando next week due to the hurricane. No biggie ... I'm ready for a trip to Disney World !! Do you think Mickey Mouse will be upset if a couple hundred sailors and Coasties have a big hurricane party at his place ?

Cheers ...

Mornin y'all,,,,,
One hour and 10 min. to go until it's time to pack up and go home. I guess I'll try to finish cutting the grass today. Anyone got a hay-baler they want to lend me? I think I let the back field go just a little too long. : Ahhh,,,,, the "Joys of Procrastinating"

Hey Ed,,,,
Remind me to never tell shortround that I've got three of those AMF Harleys and don't even think about telling him about the AMC CJ-5

Morning all... got the coffee in with some dunkers...ready for a nap. Ed, no wonder the fuel injection is plugged up. You have to get it off the trailer once in a while and open it up. Parading around and showing off behind the Cummins all weekend is gonna fill it with soot.

GOOOOOOOOOD MORRRRRRRRRNINGGGGGGG DTRONIANS ;D ;D

It is now 0740. Pot of coffee in me and haven't gotten my hand slapped, yet ;D

My poetry can be somewhat off color.
Offensive to some it is known.
But it's funny to those that have been there.
In the jungles so far from our home.

So I'll continue on with this nonsense.
And hope that it'll never have to end.
I raise a toast to absent companions.
For you shall forever be a friend.

So I'm ending this drivel I'm writing.
Hoping you shall remain in good cheer.
But the words are making me thirsty.
Come on Top let's get us a beer.

Re:Water Cooler..... 7-13 Sep 03

good morning to all - 0900.

Today we shall be humble, greatful and respectful.

Must also harvest peppers and okra and feel proud to be where I am with what I have...being country is a wonderful thing.

Also, Great uncle was a Gunny Sgt. in the marines...something he said to me one time.."when they say next, that means you!!" We were at the back of the line, but not for long.
