Re:Water Cooler, 14 December - 20 December 2003

Wanted to hit Tippy Dam over Christmas, But I need a new rod. Just cashed my check, and I see I'll have to wait a pay day. The new governor is making it personal now. Even if I could afford the rod and gas to go fishing, they aren't gonna let me use the mandatory furlow time that reduces our pay anyway. :'(

Just noticed I volunteered for O.T. ............ 4 more hours? What came over me. Guess it'll help pay for that rod......

So, where's the afternoon crew? Starting a fresh pot of coffee.

Needed some of SR's Medicine for DWI.

Capt. of the female persuasion decided this afternoon that her office would move to it's new location on Wed, Christmas Eve. :
She wasn't too happy when I told her "Ho-Ho-NO"
Now she has reconsidered and the office move is Tuesday.

Gawd I looooove my job.............(insert YUK smiley here)

Women in the military.
Queers are here too.
Where's "The Duke" when you need him.
This place is becoming a real zoo.

Analysts are running maintenance.
Wrench turners are ordering parts.
It's no longer just our perspective.
The bosses are shuffling all our smarts.

Admin types are up there.
Visually taking this engine apart.
Now when the parts do get here.
No one has a clue where to start.

The pistons are from a Detroit.
The head, we think is a Mack.
The block, yep it's a Cummins.
But who ordered this section of train track.

Schedule 40 iron pipe was ordered.
A tire inflation cage to build.
When the PVC was unloaded,
a supply puke almost got killed.

It seems my skin is getting thinner.
My hiney gets chapped with great ease.
DWI seems to be the mainstay,
Cause none of them, can you please.

Where's the Duke when you need him.
His departure came way too soon.
We need his boots on the backsides
of those that may take us to our doom.

I'm ending these tales of despair.
I'm working now on lots of good cheer.
Therefore I'm closing this dreary moral story.
And grabbing myself another cold beer.

shortround out

The highways are a bloody mess! About 7" of fresh snow this afternoon with around 3"-5" more tonight. Got the plow back on the wheeler and ready for the morning. Baily's and coffee in the morning and plowing, hmmmmm, sounds like fun to me! Then it's off to go try and call in some varmint's! Here yote, yote, yote. ;D

Mornin all, still on coffee #1.
Contemplating what to do first, fix plow lights on 2 trucks, change oil in equipment, or have more coffee until the urge passes.
Time to go get coffee #2.

Sittin here with two Rotties and a Shepard at my feet.
3/4 inch accumulation of frost outside on everything.
Gotta rotate tires on the Neon today and try out my new birthday air compressor.
Gotta tak some pics of the Super M and e-mail to a potential buyer.
Gotta cover some other tractors up and charge some batteries.
Could just sit here in the warm and do nothing.
