Watch your aux trans coolers

Last night on the way home, came up on a 96 1500 with a horse trailer in the ditch. First things first, no one was hurt and the horses were ok. Turns out the lines for the aux cooler rubbed and dumped the tranny fluid. When the driver hit his brakes for the stop sign, his rig jack knifed cause of the fluid all over. Managed to pull him out ok and towed him about a mile to a safe spot. His neighbor came and got the trailer. End result, really messed up truck and upset horses. By the way, the cooler was aftermarket, but did not notice the manufactuer.
Ed

Sounds like who ever installed the aftermarket cooler didn't know how to do it correctly.

I am glad everyone was OK.
