WARRANTEES

:-I just brought in my 2003 dodge for its 7500 mile oil change which I have to pay for, and the dealer is charging 130.00 for an oil change and tire rotation. Does anyone know if the warrantee is normally covered if I take it to an oil change place? I just want to know your feedback on this as 130.00 every 3000 mile oil change seems outrageous. Thanks Dave3

Re:WARRANTEES

They can't make you bring it to them for an oil change. The warranty doesn't have anything to do with WHERE you get it changed....as long as you get it changed and keep good records. I really hate the stuff that dealerships try to pull... :

Besides that, any respectable dealer will give you the first oil change for free. Mine gave me the first two (even though I don't trust them to do it right and I'm changing it myself).

Consider this:

Fleetguard Stratopore Filter: $8.95
3 Gallons Rotella 15W-40: $18.00

Do it yourself for under 30 bucks.

Tire rotation is free at Discount Tire and National Tire & Battery.
