I got a ticket for 40 in a 25, cost me $89. First ticket in my lifetime of driving. When I sent in the paperwork and payment, I made a photocopy of it to keep for my records and also put a copy in my truck just in case. Even IF they didn't receive your payment or something was not credited properly, the copy does serve to show you are telling them the truth about having sent the payment, it will also serve to keep you out of jail in that moment of time where you ARE being faced by an officer. Or at least it should, who knows these days, things are so upside down it rediculous.

)Poor Bubba... He's been so lonely since his last cell mate left. I'm sure he will be disappointed.
anytime your dealing with the courts there are two things I do...
1. show up personally to pay the ticket with a check and write the docket number ON THE CHECK. Leave with a receipt of payment AND a photo copy of the check after the clerk has stamped it.
2. If paying by mail. registered mail with a signed delivery confirmation. photo copy of the check and ticket. when the check clears, see your local DA's office or Sheriffs office and make sure everything has been cleared up.
