Hoss, I got to think that Verizon was right. It is in their best interest to hook it up properly, or they risk not being able to meet their posted speeds. Also, just because you have 5mbps server, you may never reach 5mbps. There is a certain amount of overhead that TCP/IP will take away from your bandwidth, which is normal. I have the 15mpbs server and I generally run in the 13.8 - 14.2 mbps range. Once you get up to this speeds, it is hard to find a speed test server that will give accurate speeds. Once you get over 5mbps, accurate readings will be hard to find.
