The mothball fleet her in Ca is already a fishermans paradise. I usually fish up stream about 5 miles from there but I have heard fish stories about fishing near the mothball fleet.
It is quite interesting and sad to look out in the bay when on my down to Concord and see what seems to be hundreds of old retired ships rotting away.

Concer with the rotting away comment,
when I lived in Hawaii for exercise I would ride down the bike path from Pearl Harbor to Waipahu and view all the decom ships and the Big Blue floating dry dock that came from the PI. Now that I live near the Puget Sound Naval Ship Yard, I see the same thing but with a few subs thrown in the mix. On my 1st sub we conducted a strike-x using a T-LAM. Quite impressive to see it appear from the ocean and skirt the surface on it way to the target. VERY impressive.
