Using a cb antenna, for am/fm radio
Using a cb antenna, for am/fm radio
Here's the deal. I customized a mounting bracket for my cb antenna, and mounted it in the same location as the stock fm antenna, on the left fender. I then cut and painted a piece of clear 1/4 hose, to match the 3' Firestick cb antenna. Because the stock fm antenna is not as long, the hose has a slight bend at the top. At 60 mph, the cb antenna stands straight up, while the modified fm antenna lays back. I have an idea, but I don't know if it will work, so I'm looking for opinions and experience.
I could buy and modify another fm antenna mount, Firestick, and mount. Then, replace my fm antenna, with this set up. Here is my question, will the cb antenna, do the work of the stock fm antenna?
