$2220 bucks? Wow, I'd say find a semi truck junkyard and make your own.

They won't be as loud but you would save a boatload of money.

That price is WAY out of line for the equipment listed, even if it includes installation.

Something's wrong with their web site, but these guys used to sell on eBag, where I got a Kong MkI kit for about $350 from them, IIRC.

While visiting a friend in NV, the kid from a block over decided to "impress" people with his train horn. It impressed Mike so much that he ran over and told the kid if he heard the horn one more time he was going to relocate the horn to a place that would make the kid uncomfortable. The horns are kind of neat but should be used with discretion.

Hello, at that price they are selling you a brand new K5la. I collect and restore real train horns. you can do way better then that price. You could almost do two set ups for that price. Need any help or questions feel free to ask. By the way a K5la is a big horn. And the K3La is louder then teh K5La by a few decibels.

Used K5La on Ebay will range from 500 and up. Maybe cheaper if you get lucky and find one at buy it now.

Viair 400 compressor Around $150 to 160 bucks
5 gallon tank $60 bucks or a little more.
Solenoid cheap
pressure control cheap
Fittings wire etc... harware store ,auto supply, Lowes or Home Depot.

Chek this place out for compressors, Tanks, etc...

Good Luck,

That Nathan 5-Chime in the link is a real locomotive horn and they are not cheap. They do require alot of air, as they will drain an tank very fast. A few of the locomotive I worked on ran these horns and they sound awesome but are VERY loud. If you don't wanna spend that much money maybe look for a 3-Chime Nathan horn set, might be a little cheaper. But that horn is the closest to the real as you'll get, lot of the other "train horns" you see for sale are just glorified truck horns.

LoL! Where you are at you can probably get away with it. However, even with my closest neighbor being 1/4 mile away, If I were to put some on my house they would become targets. Around here, occasional gunshots and explosions are acceptable but noise just for the sake of noise is not.

Kinda like James Bond, smoke stacks for the a-holes behind ya and ear drum exploding horns for the deocks in front of ya. Now we need a potato cannon/ nerf bar for the shatters next to ya....

I have the same set up as ACE. Paid a little more for it cause i bought it from a vender at an off road expo, but its a good set up. There was only 3 ports on the tank so I put a T splitter on it to run on board air as well. Works well for airing up ATV tires when we're at the dunes...

I i could justify spending the cash ( see also; if the wife would let me...) i'd get a set of Nathan's horns...
