I'm no vette fan by any means, but I hate to see nice cars get beat up like that. But at least they can be fixed, I hope anybody that was there was not hurt.
We got hit by that same system later that evening, it was nasty, but it did not have that kind of power when it went though my area.

man it is sad to see Corvettes get smashed up like that. however, no one got fatally hurt, and the damage could have been worse, it could have been the Vettes that were doing the flying instead of the tents.
Am i missing some pictures somewhere? I went through all those pages and pics and links and theres really no smashed up vettes?
Some tents fell down on the cars.. some scrapes and bruises.. but wheres the vette carnage that everyone talks about? I WANNA SEE! :-D

it may only seem like a scratch, but to the Vette owners its more than that. not to mention the amount of work that would have to go into fixing it. especially if the metal under the ding or scratch is damaged. also dont forget that alot of these older original colors arent readily available any more and must be custom mixed, which isnt cheap.

the fender on this '65 appears to be dented. if that is the case, while a dent like that wouldnt be too much on one of our trucks, that is a serious dent on a car like this. a lot of time would need to be spent getting that body line straight. and the fact of getting the paint just right to match, cause if there is any shade difference between that fender and the rest of the car, than that is a major blow to its collector value.
