Topic of the Day
As I took my shower this morning pondering the meaning of life, I thought to myself, what is the purpose of toenails? Why did God give them to us?
Fingernails I can understand. They make great tools. We can use them for picking our nose, scratching an itch, scraping a drop of paint off of something that wasn't supposed to get paint, splitting open a key ring so you can get a key on it.....they're the single greatest multi-purpose tool of all time.
Toenails, on the other hand, appear to be useless. I've never seen anyone picking their nose with their toenails. Big Blue probably could, but I doubt he does. You can't scratch your back with them. You can't pry open a coke can with them. You can't peel the skin off of an orange with them. To my knowledge, there is basically NOTHING that you can do with a toenail.
So....why do we have them??

Soooo when looking in that direction, I assume you got the other purpose figured out? If you think you do, then you have more to learn. Toe nails assist when in the act of fulfilling that other purpose.

Toenails are, by design, a defense mechanism. I keep mine razor sharp for those nights when momma forgets which side of the bed is hers and which side is mine !! One "jab" and she spends the rest of the night on her side with one eye open
