Too Much LOVE!

So today at work a guy comes in to pick-up his VW. He asked "Whens that Dodge with the Cummins going to be for sale?" I told him "it not!" He said "Why not?" I said "IT'S MINE!" He said " I'll give you cash money right now!" I said "NOPE, can do it." He said "Name your price." I said "NOPE, cant do it." I said "why do you want it so bad?" He said " Its what I've been looking for to ship to Germany." I said "you just bought a new Toureg." He said "I know, but I want your truck!" I just smiled and said sorry.

Come on, man. You're telling me that for $50,000 you wouldn't let it go? $60,000?

If the guy was driving a Toureg it means he's loaded. You probably could've gotten yourself $70,000.

Here's the thing. I REALLY like my truck. It's what I've always wanted. I've only had it about 10mo now and I don't want to give it up. I like everything about the truck. I don't like the new body style or the interior on the 3rd genertions, and I don't like how quiet they are. My truck is "LIKE NEW" condition with low miles on it when I got it. I know it sounds strange, but it's kinda like part of the family. Call me Crazy.

Hey whatever, I can understand your attachment to something. I say even if he DID wanna pay you big money for it but you would rather keep it. That's cool. What's wrong with that? A guy has a truck he likes and would rather keep it fine.

Personally I'm a business man, there are 1000s of trucks out there exactly the same.

But that's a persoanl choice right?

Hey I understand liking your truck. I still own my first and only new vehicle. Its the FORD in my gallery. People have told me many times “let me know when you want to sell it”, but they never said what they would really pay for it. Believe me, I have had that truck since 76 and its great and I have a lot of sentimental value in it. But if somebody offered me the right amount I just might sell it …….(maybe) Still would have been fun to see what the guy was all about though.

I would NEVER sell my truck unless i was ready to, for some insane reason. Nobody would REALY give me the right amount of money to justify selling my baby. Its just that i know i will have a horrible chance at finding another one exactly like the one i already have, which is exactly what i want.

You just lost your truck and no money. Its a scam. The guy writes you a check on a German bank, you sign the title over to him and he is gone, your truck is gone, and your money is gone. The check bounced.
