Hey all. I know this topic has been beat to death but I havnt seem to come across answers to the questions I have so here they are.

I'm currntly running the 35" BGF T/A KO. There nice tires. Good in the rain, snow and dry. I'm getting ready for new tires though and im looking for good millage 40k+ I'd really like to see 50k+ but I'm probably dreaming. I do alot of driving for work on roads so good wet/dry handeling is a must. the BFG's seem to have all of this but that dosent mean there isnt something better. Is there another tire that has all of this but is even better in the snow? I love the snow. I'm looking for either 35" or 37". I've been looking at the BFG T/A, cooper discoverer STT, Toyo open country m/t, toyo m-55 (provided they come up with the large size this year). I had looked at dick cepek F-C II but I hear they dont last very long. So if anyone has any opinions on any tires and how long they last and how they do in onroad snow let me know. I'm open to anything.

Or Perhaps a high millage summer tire and a winter tire. But do they make a 35 or 37" high millage all season tire?

 

They are pricey but pro comp makes an extreme (I think that is what they are calling it) all terain that is your basic all terrain but with a much deeper tread. Depending on the compoun you would think more rubber = more mileage and deeper rubber should = more traction. I dont have any experiance with these tires I just thought it might be worth looking into, and I know they make 37 13.50s

 

Might add Goodyears MTs to the mix of possibilities. My dad said the tire guys swore that they would get 40% better wear than the other MT's. But we just had those put on a few weeks ago, so I can't prove anything yet.

 

I hear hat the bfg t/a's got better millage then the MT's. For the price of thies tires Im trying not to lose millage. I like the bfg's alot its just in the snow the seemed to be lacking alittle something. I looked at those procomps. They have a regular all terrain with a sevear weather raiting and 50000mile warrinty however i have no idea how wellit really does in the snow. the bfg I think also have a sever weather raiting. And I saw that extreme AT looks nice also but has no millage listing. So many tires.

 

From personal experience

60K outta the BFG all terrains that the truck had when i got it, with proper rotation and everything. ive only had one set of mudd grips for my truck and got 35K out of them, that was on my ford idi....they were Bridgestone Mud terrains.. 265 size, my BFGs were 285

Dayton Timberline A/T's are one very good tire you might consider as well..i got 60k out of one set {285-75/r16} and they had PLENTY left out of them.Balanced ONCE in 60k miles ...another is the Toyo Open Country A/T ..good luck in your choice!
