This thing sucks!! WOW!
I purchased a Dyson vacuume cleaner tonight.
I know all the commercials and hype.....
This thing really works as compared to my Super Hoover and My Kirby.
I did my own testing and consistently the Dyson picked up more stuff than either of my other vacuumes
I'm just stunned that another product besides my Cummins lives up to the Hype

Laugh if you must!
But consider this:
There are only 2 manufacturers of vacuume turbines in world. Consequently the same turbine used in your Hoover usually is also used in your Kirby, Orek...Craftsman shop vac, or HVLP(High Volume Low Pressure) Spray equipment. (It's all about moving air!)
By thinking out of the box, what Dyson did was take very old technology for moving air applied a special ducting system and produced a multi million $$ superior product line.
Apply out of the box thinking for the intake and turbine on our trucks.........hmmm
(It's all about moving air!)
I'm going to go look at that vacuume again!

I'm wondering if there is an eletrically operated supercharger type device that could be mounted in line rather than a turbo therby eliminating the heat associated problems of the turbo.

Yes I understand that compressing air creates heat, though not several hundreds of degrees as with a turbo connected to the 1000 degree exhaust!
I understand that there are electric superchargers on dragsters to eliminate the horsepower robbed by a belt drive unit why could'nt something similar work for us?

the toilet evac system at work for the loco's works on something similar... there is a 550v 5hp motor turning a rather large screw type compressor [about 16"x20"x24"] and the intake side is the vacuum source... it runs through a cyclone separator so nothing but vapour and air/gasses passes through the screws... the outlet of the compressor is outside the compressor room... i have seen it where the cyclone's auto drain failed and there was toilet chemical/bio matter sprayer action happening, shooting up ±10' into the air
