are these exceptable 1/4 mile times
yesterday i took my dads cummins to the track to for the heck of it to see what it does before we modify it, if we do. i excepted 18s or 19s out of it heres the specs on it, does this sound like a healthy truck to you guys?
95 12v cummins auto 2wd 3.55 gears with posi extended cab, long bed 181,000 miles the first run it did a 19.66 @ 66.72mph with a 2.5 60ft. i staged it to 2000 rpms and then when the light went green i let it go. no wheel spin, im thinkin the 3.55 gears are slowin it down off the line, i expected a better 60ft time. my RTs were decent, im used to racin a standard camaro, it was a releif to be in an automatic vehicle. .572 rt and .628 |

For the year of the truck, you'r probably OK. The 95's didn't have as much hp as the 96 and up 12v's.

Re:are these exceptable 1/4 mile times
what are some little things i can do to get it goin a little quicker? the truck isnt used for towing much, can i get away with moving the stock fuel plate without goin to high EGT wise? i was thinking a dynomax exhaust with no cat and a 3" down tube. the air filter is filthy since my dad wants to get a new one i suggested just getting a cone to make a CAI.
edit: oh yeah i was thinkn maybe i should have staged it to like 1500 or somethin because i think what happend wth staging at 2K is i was over the max torque when teh converter flashed on take off. |

You might post that question in the High Performance or 12v Engine forum. You'll get more replies there.
