Anyone living out near Plano TX, I'm thinking of relocating out there and see the home prices are real reasonable compared to here in Fl.. Looks like you can get about 40% more home out there for the price same price. Like Fla. there's no state tax, but am I missing something, are the property taxes high? On my 200k home here I pay about $1200 a year, is like double that or better out there. Thanks for any input.

 

I live in Allen about 5 miles from Plano, My home is 2450 sq value at 185K and the takes are about $3800 year

 

You will be around $4500 in realestate taxes on a $200k home. However, you should shop around. Homes in Plano are overvalued, and there are plenty of other areas around where you can get MUCH more home for the money compared to Plano.

 

Go North to around Melissa, if you don't mind a small town it is a nice area and house are much cheaper
