Ooooooops, sorry bout that guys. I never watch movies, let alone comment on them. I just got over excited I guess.

I took the wife and four kids (youngest one being 8). I had no problem with the language. The kids will love it..............almost as much as the guys

I guess I don't even remember that. Maybe once or twice but it just wasn't blatant.

I'll have to check it out.
no joke, critics are like weather men-allways wrong. i went with my 7yr old and he hasn't stopped " playing the movie" yet. sure, a few cheesy parts, but this movie is awesome. i was at first disappointed that a few of the characters were changed, but they pulled it off nicely.
hoss, as said before, TAKE THE KIDS... with all the action going on the kids will be oblivious to the language

Yeah, they will likely hear worse from classmates at school.

How old are you guy's?

Ya'll must be young 'uns to be so worked up about this. And this is subject is being worked over on other boards also.

I never played with a whicha-ah-mu-jig former thingy. Well, that is until my son turned 4 a little over 5 yr's ago. I guess that is what we played with till I broke them.

Just one question, is this thingie a Tonka toy with 'Roid rage?

I'm 37 and I have never played with a transformer. Knew a little about them when I was a kid but never got into them (I was more of a Star Wars geek). I remember seeing the trailer about 6 months ago while my wife and I were at the movies and telling her that "I'm going to see that movie!!!!" (because of the special effects). She just looked at me like I was crazy.
Like someone else said earlier... there are a couple of cheesy parts but you have to remember, this is still a "kids" movie but it appeals to a large range of ages. And if you're like me and don't really know anything about Transformers then it is also a pleasant surprise.

In my experience kids aren't oblivious to ANYTHING. I am constantly amazed by the things that my son picks just from my wife and I.

We are going to watch it tomorrow morning. If I think it's okay for a 4 year old then I'll take him back to see it.

Yeah, they will likely hear worse from classmates at school.
While that may be true, I have no control over that. I DO have control over what they watch on TV or at the movies...and what they hear in my house.

For those who have children, there's a website called www.pluggedinonline.com that let's you know what kind of stuff is in the movies and television shows and music that your kids want to go see or listen to. It makes it real easy to find out what's in the movie before letting them go see it.

Here's the report on Transformers for anyone that cares:

Actually, after posing the report I decided to delete it because it could potentially turn this into a "political" discussion and I don't want to do that. If anyone hasn't seen the movie and wants to see a report on it before taking their children to see it then send me a PM and I'll send it to you.

As I said, we (my wife and I) are going to watch it tomorrow. If we think it's okay I'll take my 4 year old back, but from what I've read it's rated PG-13 for a reason.

From everything that has been said, I can't wait to see it!!

A few S words, a couple of B words.......

A truly AWESOME movie.

Lots and lots and lots of action.
(they should have used a 2008 Challenger instead of that Camero)
