Stupidity sets in

So tonight I was jacking up my truck to work on it. My ceilings in my garage are about 8 foot 10inches tall so i never thought a thing about it

Well as to say the truck is about 7 foot tall with the accessories i have on it and my garage door opener hangs down about 1 foot i went to jack the truck up pretty high so one of my friends who is a bigger kid could get under and help me and i and heard a crunching sound and just thought it was the body flexing on the truck until my ceiling tiles started falling out!!

The aftermath was leaving the only scratch the truck has now
A broken garage door opener!
Some ruined ceiling tiles along with a mangled grid that isn't even a month old!
And some how it shorted out all my lights on the same circuit!
And my man hood

I hope I'm not the only one to do something like this....

Some pics of it ha

Well you're not alone. The first time I pulled my truck into my garage to work on it I threw the hood up without thinking that it would open that far. I've got parts from my 68 Chargers all over my garage and in that particular bay I've got quarter-window glass hanging between the rafters. ALMOST knocked all 6 of them out of the rafters. Since then I'm a lot more careful when opening the hood in the garage...

You are not stupid if you LEARN from your mistakes.

Don't feel like the lone ranger there Dean Doing things like that every now and then lets you know you are human

Last night on the way to bed I grabbed my tooth brush and ran some water over it. Then I stuck it under the antibiotic hand soap and pumped some on it, just before I shoved it in my mouth

I was blowing bubbles for 20 minutes

OK, stupid AND tired.. 3rd shift....

Working on a touch screen portable computer tonight (about 2am) and trying to get it to connect to a remote desktop, need to see the properties of the connection, you know right mouse button, but its a touchscreen, guess what I try to do.... use my pinky instead of my index finger. Didnt work, same results.. . Hope some of you guys can appreciate this.

Come on top, it was one of two things, you were swearin and the miss's caught you, or you just forgot to take your teeth out before you clean them. j.k.

nice, but you did it wrong. you were supposed to hold your index finger on the screen and then use your pinky... Actually I haven't the slightest how to "right click" a touch screen unless a keyboard is hooked up...

Dean ... you're only human. (a human with a new unsightly scuff on the top of your truck and a jacked up garage door motor). Don't feel bad. There weren't any witnesses were there ?

Top .... hand sanitizer on the toothbrush ?? ah, nevermind. That's just too easy of a target. Thanks for the laugh.

I feel your pain.. I carefully jacked the truck up in the garage and watched every inch and every stoke of the jack handle and had about 2" of clearance between the garage door and the roof....

....until the other half came home and pressed her garage door opener button.

I bet we have matching scuffs.
