Stereo Install Help

I'm trying to find a schematic of the wiring on the Delco radios that were put in the 2003 GMC Sierra. It is an RDS unit and has a what looks like a 24 pin connector, 2 rows of 12.

I'm adding a low level line input converter and have no idea what the wires are,,none are marked.

Re:Stereo Install Help

Check the actual manufacturer plate on the back.
Hopefully even a model number.

I had to find a diagram for my moms radio in preperation for installing a replacement, so I could just use the original power/ground and speaker wires.

Went to the manufacturers web site and was able to find a model number close enough that the plugs matched.
They didn't list the actual model number, as it wasn't available aftermarket, made exclusively for OEM application.

Till someone else chimes in, worth a shot.

Re:Stereo Install Help

From what I've been told about the GM radios, they are an absolute nightmare to work on.

Re:Stereo Install Help

you can check this

http://www.installdr.com/Harnesses/GM-Wiring.pdf

I don't think the newer trucks is in there though

I asked around one installer told me you probably have the bose radio and will need an adaptor

he said to use the C2A-GM24 from PAC

http://www.pac-audio.com./

I have no idea what that is , but ask around at some local install shops they should know

You can go to http://www.crutchfield.com/ and find a phone number if need be. They will actually talk to you and help you out.
