Re:Sniper caught?

What it seems to be, the sniper provided information or some information was discovered to cause the FBI to go to a rental house in Tacoma, where it is common for FT Lewis soldiers to live. There is apparently some link, via friends. They just now mentioned that there might also be a link to Ft Benning, back east. There is alot of speculation, of course, by the talking heads, that because Ft. Lewis has a Special Forces detachment, that perhaps, there's a possibility that the sniper is military trained. Remember, this IS PERHAPS. You can see the backyard is gridded off and the officials were searching for apparently bullet fragments and whatever. Sidenote, the metal detector has been picking up alot of nails. The agents are currently packing it in and getting ready to leave. They've collected alot of evidence, possible, which may or may not be linked to the sniper. Now the news is saying that perhaps it's just a rumor but seems awful specific for such a raid.

~Dave

Re:Sniper caught?

What I'm concerned about is that these talking heads from the media will find out who lived in the house in the past, then release his name, even if there is no link between him and the shootings. I have seen it happen to people before, and it's ruined their lives. I bet a dollar that they're looking right now for people who lived there in the past. I'll bet another dollar that the info. will be leaked to the media, and then people will be looking to kill someone who may not even be the sniper, or even know what's going on!

Just a thought.

Re:Sniper caught?

In summary, they've removed a stump, a cut up burn barrel and some other items as items of interest. Pretty much wrapped up here folks. I hate the talking heads as much as Jack does. I guess this search was based on a tip to the FBI hotline. Back to the east coast where there's suppose to be an announcement by Chief Moose about wanting to talk to two specific individuals. The West Coast division of DTR News signing off to TOP.

~Dave

Re:Sniper caught?

Oh yeah this guy is a special forces soldier gone astray. Geezzzz here we go again all us Green Beanies are mental cases. Man how quick the media labels us forgetting that part of the training includes constant screening for mental stability.
Ok so I just proved that at least one fell through the cracks on the mental screening angle 8) Still it ticks me off how fast the media judges us.

Re:Sniper caught?

Oh yeah. I have seen this many times before. It really makes me sick.

They're talking about the INS giving immunity to any illegal immigrants who may have information leading to the arrest of the sniper. I agree with this idea. If they DO have an illegal blow the case, then I'd be giving that guy citizenship the next day, and invite his entire family to live in the country.

I don't think it's going to be an important part of the case though. Of course, you know what happens when you ASSume.
