SEEING is Believing

MAN BEHIND THE UFO: Linn Murphy is seen through his homemade remote-controlled UFO. Murphy flies his UFO in different locations around Orange County every night.

It's interesting to read the reactions of observers as they project their expectations onto what they're seeing.
The article says that they see it as large, distant and acrobatic, instead of small and close. Also a lot of people report seeing a "large globe" typically dripping something luminous.

I love that sort of thing. As kids, In the winter (no fire hazard) we used to launch hot air balloons (laundry bag, wire, half a pop can with gas). We got two ufo reports in the newspaper. His is way better.

I set off several big cleaner bags filled with helium one night. We dangled a string with flares and fireworks from it and had the maximum payload it could carry. The wind was blowing, it was about 1:00 AM and we were out in the desert up on a hill.
As we let it go it travelled nearly horizontal and out over a lower valley. As we ran along under it laughing and watching, we came to the edge and realized there was a bunch of people camping down there. Well, it was chaos! All this yelling and running around down there. Stuff was being thrown into cars and trucks as fast as possible and everyone hauled a$$ out of there.
We were all laughing so hard we couldn't stand up. Tears streaming down. It was all so unexpected. All we wanted to do was send up some fireworks and we evacuated a camp ground. I bet those poor folks are still talking about the "invasion". Yep, they're all believers now.

That is a guy that has too much time on his hands. Besides, what is the point of doing it every night?
Is he seeing how many people he can make look like a fool before he gets his rear end kicked ?
Once is kinda funny. Every night is a bit strange...
He better watch Karma doesn't come back and bite him. Afterall, don't most alien abductions include the dreaded **** probe !!!
