Scotch drinkers?

Just cracked open a new Balvenie and I was wondering if any other DTR members can appreciate a good bottle of scotch. What's your favorite brand, if you drink it?

Of course, mine's Balvenie...18 yrs old. The best that it gets!

Re:Scotch drinkers?

Being that I love the taste of a fine Scotch, I would have to say that my best bottle is a Glenrothes Private distillers label Single Speyside Malt 1982. Taste: Ripe, fruity, Vanilla tones with a hint of peat. Umm…. I think I’ll have a sniff now ;D. (ya gotta try this one, it is a special order and most of the time it has to be ordered from the Distillery.)

When that runs out Lagavulin 16 year old smooth, smoky and peaty as well as Iodine flavored or a Macallan 25 year old is a classic stunner.

Cheers,
Kyle

Sorry fellas,
When my brother (rest his soul) was still alive and I was still a drinking man, he always offered to share his,,,,,,,,,,,, I could never acquire the taste for that stuff and never understood how he could drink it straight-up on the rocks.
I always was more of a Jack Black kinda guy before we too, had to part ways.

While primarily a beer drinker (AKA to the g-kids as "the pawpaw with the big bat belly&quot I do like my scotch. I started off with Chevis Regal and like it very much today. I happen to have a case of the stuff that I brought back from my last WestPac in '75. Never opened. Gonna save it till I hang the cammies up and then I'm gonna ride around the US of A and share a nip with my fellow DTR friends.

Like SR, I'm primarily a beer drinker, but I can't think of a single-malt I've ever had that I thought was bad. Which reminds me, my bottle is almost empty, time to buy another.

Lagavulin is pretty good, I also like Glenmorangie Port or Sherry wood finished

I second the vote for Lagavulin. I like the Islay malts the best but I have liked nearly every single malt I've tried.

I also like to drink straight Wild Turkey; no ice, no mixer, just straight from a juice or shot glass. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it.
