Hey Northern Guys. I am planning on coming up that way the end of July and I heard there have been several fires up north of La Ronge. I even heard there may have been a fire that burned out-buildings around the little private lodge I am going to about 70 miles north and west of Missinipe.

Question: do any of you folks know a source where I could go and get information on forest fires in that area?

Not sure if the second link will help. I have not seen any threats on the news for the past few days but that can change quickly...its dry to the north and lots of lightning.

Got some hopefully good news. Looks like an out building and a homemade little tractor that had been flown in got cooked. I had a small Honda generator and 4 new fishing poles and reels and downriggers that probably went up in smoke, but the main storage building and the lodge are hopefully OK. I look forward to coming up there every year and it would sure hurt to lose the place. We are going to try to get Osprey Wings out of Missinipe to do a fly by and give us an update.
