I didnt know battery powered tools existed for a purpose other than holiday package sales??

Ive had corded power tools from skill, milwaukee, makita, black&decker, craftsman, dewalt.. If i were to ever buy cordless it would be DeWalt.. Theirs seemed the most well built followed by the craftsman professional series.

The others i was scared i was going to break them if they were used in any other but a light manner... and some did! Lol

Good buy! It's not xrp stuff, but for what you need you don't need xrp.

I also got a jig saw, grinder, and cut out tool (dremel style) with 2 more batteries to go with it from different buyers. Right around $450 before shipping for EVERYTHING! Not bad, when all that stuff in Ryobi would have cost me $400.

Yeah I was looking on there after reading your post and there are some excellent deals. I am needing to get a cordless sawzall to use next year on our riding property to cut out small tree roots and stumps. It works really well.

Go to lowes and buy the black and decker firestorm 24volt combo kit. Drill/driver, circular saw with laser, jig saw and sawzall, 2 batteries and dual charger. It comes with a bad instead of a big hard case. Its great. You can also do as I did and purchase a 1 hour dual charger. Charges the batteries fully in 1 hour. I had the 18v kit for 2 years and upgraded to the 24v as soon as I saw it. The difference in the 2 is unreal. The 24v is enough to do any job you could possibly do. The combo kit is $219. Lowes.com is having a special and they are $179 for a short time.

Maybe I've been lucky but I have not had any trouble with mine at all. I have built 2 picnic tables with them and then cut down trees and limbs that fell after our recent ice storm. I have not found one thing that have not been able to handle.
