got a Question for you guys...

buddy is on the Duramax forum, and they have gave it a name:
The Edge "dreaded no start problem"

where your Edge dies.
and the truck will turn over, but won't crank/run.

soon as you unplug the Edge, it cranks right up.

i guess it is very prevalent on the early Edges. he said discussion seems to indicate they were built using "normal grade" electronics, vice automotive grade,

here's what his email said:

Wont buy another edge product and will highly recomend that no one else touch them. My $800 unit is a paperweight and they wont do anything except upgrade me to a new one for $350. Going to write a standard response when someone ask about them on the forums. Hurt them a little bit at least. When mine broke it was 2.5 years old and they knew about the issues long before the warranty was out.

talked to Mad about his this weekend - did he get his new box fixed?

my truck is REALLY a pooch: nice & slow, i want it to be faster, but a reliable CTD is what a CTD is designed to be.

a racecar a CTD ain't designed to be

Heidi appreciating spiced rum and wondering why Fronty knows about a hand search...
Its one of those stories that should have stayed in Amsterdam, but my boss felt it beared repeating to everyone I know so since the humilation is over I will pass it along.

Im going thru security in Schiphol (amsterdam) and set off the metal detector. Instead of running using the metal detector like normal, the guy decides to do a hand search. Im standing there arms out, palms up, as he pats down my torso.
He then kneels down and places one hand squarely on my crotch as he pats down one leg.
I glance back to see if my boss made it thru security to watch my laptop. He chuckling about it.
The guy then swaps hands and pats down my other leg.
I collect my laptop and bag from my boss and with a completely straight face, he asks if I got the guy atleast gave me a tip.

That's one of the best carry spots. Some people are shy about checking there (I'm not talking about the leg ).

JWBM, thanks. Been kind of a stressful few weeks for me and the rest of the family. Will give the wished to the GF, she needs them right now. If all pans out well for us, we plan on buying a house together in the near future. We're both excited about it. We've been together for 3 yrs now and been wanting to move in to a house together for a while now. I'm out for the night, Puttin on some Coffee (with the special stuff in it that the dragon in the corner keeps locked up), hot tea, ph00, sweet tea, and a fresh jug on the water cooler.

If you are that bored, when they're done with the "personal touch", look back with big doe eyes and ask them if they are going to call in the AM.

U-haul will rent large moving blankets. Wrap them up well and haul them flat on a trailer.

Mornin' all.

Got one truck sorta done, another on it's way. Wood chip trucks. The new ones are longer, taller and wider than the idiot driver is used to, so I'm takin' bets on how long it'll be before he rolls one of 'em over when he gets it loaded! The one I just finished just needs to be sandblasted and painted. The one that's comin' needs to be built, so that oughta take me the next three weeks 'til I leave for my annual fall trip to New England. Would really like some time to finish up my woodsplitter and start my mill, but it don't look like that's gonna happen.

The coffee's a little lackin' this mornin', but at least it's here!

chaikwa.

a looonnng time ago, in a place called Attica prison- I was one of the few female corr. ofc's and worked the metal shop. had a loooonnng line of inmates ready to be frisked by me as they left the metal shop, or go to two other male COs. in prison, inmates miss NOTHING; so after my first three inmate frisks doing a 'save my life' pat frisk I had no one waiting in line and had to call them over...they were reluctant.they called me Jane Wayne for my officer attitude and my pointy toed cowboy boots. really loved the officers I worked with, would never do the job now- not the same calibre of people.

FRONTY- your boss must be a jughead......thanks for sharing. you definitely weren't moving during THAT search..

'doe eyed look'....LOL chuckle snicker, man I can see that happening...

Heidi out the door for fun THANKS CIN for the breakfast veggie omlet mmmm

Whoa - - remind me not to go thru the airport line if Heidi is doing the frisking!! Pointed toe shoes????? Now what would a frisker do with those????

I don't think the gang can find this place this week - - the new sign over the door was confusing. Oh well, leaves more ph00 for me - - yeh. Gorgeous sun out there today with another storm heading our way - - - maybe. Oh well, just another day on the ranch.

Hey, have a great rest of the day and don't get wet - - it's a little damp out in lots of places.

Bob
