More than a hero, he also deserves a Medal of Honor. Although he is not the first, a few years ago I read a Marine SGT also did the same while clearing a building in iraq.

Very good man to make the decision to undoubtly sacrafice ones own life for the possiblity, and in this case, definite save of his comrades lives.
