I had a Nitro T-Maxx and loved it. Fast and fun but as soon as I saw a crawler, I knew I had to build one. I sold the T-Maxx and started collecting parts then built my own chassis. A lot more fun IMHO.
If you want a good rock crawler look no further then here.

I just finished building a Axial AX10 with an old school Power Wagon style body, this thing will climb almost verticle. Both of my sons bought ready crawlers a week later and they are just as good as my kit. I will try to post a few pictures.
Used to be into the RC thing pretty heavy for a while, but had to sell all my stuff due to family obligations, but now that things are looking up might just have to get back into it. I had one of the 1/6 scale Nylints, and an 18th scale nylint that I gutted and used hobby grade electronics on, it was a blast and would crawl anything I pointed it at, but I stripped all the electronics off it and sold them too. I think this time around I'm gonna build an ax10 or maybe a custom build with tamiya axles under it, not sure yet. Last time around I dabbled in rock crawlers, but all the money was in my Rustler and 18th scale buggy.
