Don't buy Baffins!!! Take it from a Canadian boy that has to stand outside all day. I threw mine out after I picked up (three years ago) a pair of Dunlop rubber boots. You guessed it, we use them in winter as well - rated to minus 40 Celcius. I find that they get cold after minus 30, if your not moving. I then add a pair of Bama booties and my feet are toasty. All I wear for socks, is an athletic cotton sock - wool socks would be warmer.

These are the only boots worth the money:http://www.dunlopboots.com/products/...lecode=C661843

The "mickey mouse shoes" are awesome. Your feet will sweat in them if you are moving much at all no matter how cold, but at least they are warm. I wear them when I go deer hunting. Nothing I did would keep my feet warm until I got these. I picked them up at surplus store in KY when I was home on leave a few years ago. I think they were $6o.
