pto air compressor?
pto air compressor?
anybody know where i can find a onboard air compressor thats driven off the side of the trans? i have a viair air compressor 12v now, and it just wont do it fast enough. i can only take off 5-15 bolts depending on what im doing, and maybe 3 or 4 lug nuts and then i have to wait for 15 minutes for it to fill it back up.
TIA!
TIA!
Haven't seen a pto compressor but here is one drien by the engine that looks really good.

This was discussed on a different site; and, yes, someone posted links to PTO driven air-compressors, so they are out there.
One possibility is to use a PTO shaft, connected to a belt-driven compressor.
An A/C compressor could even be used.
I have a portable shop compressor that is home-made; the compressor is some kind of ancient upright A/C compressor, I think Ford.
