ok this is my situation. my girlfriend of 3 years we have been living together for 2 now, went on a planed vacation to visit some relatives in illinois. well i have to pick her up on friday night from the airport. our 3 year anniversary is on saturday. i have never done this before (obviously) just wanted some ideas.

You have never done what, picked her up from the airport? Or are you talking about something more serious, such as asking her to marry you?

 

yes to marry me. but as for the other question no i have not picked her up from the airport

I can't really think about anything romantic about the airport so I'd rule that out. Is there any place that is special to you two?

I just got engaged about a month ago. My fiance and I evacuated to her aunt's house in Irving Tx and worked there for 6 months during huricane Katrina. During that time we went to the Botanical Gardens in Ft. Worth. When we went back and visited last month we went back to the gardens since the last time we had gone it was winter and I asked her there. That was better for me since New Orleans is still pretty banged up and there aren't any romantic places to propose to someone.

 

Something else, when do you have to pick her up? Do you have a ring? Do you even know what kind of ring she wants? If you don't, and it's soon, you better get a move on.

yes i have the ring. i have to pick her up friday at 7:30

 

Me, I would hang the ring from the mirror (if she ride in the mddle) and wait on her to notice.

Im sure a thread like this would catch a womans eye.

 

2 Dozen roses... Put the ring on one of the stems. When she goes to prep the roses for the vase, she'll find the ring.

 

1. Roll to the airport in a limo, give your driver a dozen roses, a picture of her, and a sign that reads Mrs. Robert P., IF she shows up at your car give her the ring, take the future wife to the nearest bed and breakfast and spoil her like never before!

If she does not show up at your car then she does not know who you are!!

2. Show up at the airport dressed in a Tux and embarass the crap out of her by proposing on one knee, in the airport, in front of God and everybody.

Bed and breakfast still applies.

3. Have the limo driver pick her up (not knowing) and bring her to the bed and breakfast.......(Bed and breakfast is NOT a local hotel/motel!!)

It would be my luck that the limo driver was a practical joker and would bring a nun to the car instead.

I like the ring on the rear view mirror idea. See how well she pays attention.

Just make sure either you hook it to the mirror with 1/2 cable, OR make sure it's insured!

 

As she leaves the plane, have EVERYONE she passes ask her to marry them. You of course are at the end of the line as it were.
