Poll on main page

Maybe i'm nuts but i'm a Dodge man through and through but the chevy is a nice truck. i own two Dodges so you don't have make me belive there good but i used to own a 99 chev and was just as nice as my 02 Dodge the interior of the chev is by far the best out there. i loved my 99 lots of features. the dodge is close and better then the ford but chev makes a classy rig. mind you in canada you pay more for them too. anyway i'm not trying to stir it up here that poll just surprized me a bit. i guess were all a little biast at times. Hey don't worry i'm only ever going to buy Dodge trucks till i die but i just want to see if you guys think i'm nuts for liking a chev interior.
Wooff

"Chevy trucks are the most comfortable of all trucks...PERIOD."

Maybe that used to be. But I had 4 2003 Chevy 3500 Crew cab dually's last year and one 2003 Chevy C4500, and we sold all five of them because they rode so dam rough it was really unbearable. And the interior's were not as nice as our 03 Dodge's. If I went on a trip in one of our Chevy's and was in it for 6-8 hours, I felt like somebody beat me with a ball bat. The seats in the 03 Chevy's are so dam cheap the felt like they were falling apart by the time the trucks had 15,000 miles. My wife got to the point where she wouldn't even drive the Chevy's anymore, because they rode too rough, steered like crap, and had poor brakes. The 03 Dodge HD's are twice the truck the Chevy ever thought of being. I'll never understand why everyone says the chevy's are so much better trucks than the Dodge's. I drove one of my customers 200 Chevy Dually's the other day, and I had forgotten just what a pos thos trucks were. You could hear every piecr of plastic inside the truck squeking and poping while you were driving. I'll never understand this issue.

Re:Poll on main page

I own a Chevy and a Dodge. I drive the Dodge to work and pull trailers on longer trips because it's newer and it uses less fuel. I use the Chevy on the farm because it's older and I don't worry about scratching it.

As far as ride, the Chevy rides 10 times better, even though it's 11 years older. I see posts on here all the time about buying shocks for Dodges and I just put Rancho 9000x's on mine. My Chevy still has the original shocks and still rides great. The rack and pinion steering also handles much better than the steering box on the Dodge. My wife's car was in the shop a few weeks ago, so I gave her choice on my two trucks. She chose the old Chevy because she says it rides and drives better. Some might say that makes Chevy girly trucks, but I'll agree with her on those points.

Of course, the Dodge is built heavier in about every way and that's one of the reasons I bought it. It has bigger differentials, axles, brakes etc. That sounds more manly, but I really haven't had a durability problem with the Chevy, so I don't know that they're necessary. Maybe if you pulled trailers and heavy loads every day, I don't know.

I haven't driven any of the new trucks, so I can't compare them. When I go shopping again in a few years, I'll give Dodge and Chevy a good look before buying. I guess we all have our bias, but I think the competition between the truck companies now is great. In their race to be the best, we all get better trucks!
I am comparing 2003 Dodge's to 2003 Chevy's. There is no comparison, the Dodge wins hands down.
