Final political thread (not really)

I, for one, am very glad to see this election end. We have had many good and bad discussions over who is the better candidate and man. So now that its over let us follow the wisdom given in the following:

Let us put an end, once and for all, to this discussion of what a good man should be - and be one.
-Marcus Aurelius-

I think its safe to add "And American"after good man.

Now lets get back to what we all love best, bring on the Bombing

Well said young man.

Now if we could just get the individuals in congress to forget about what their respective party is and get down to business keeping America great.

Agreed. But, the problem is the definition of a great America?

Is it the America of our forefathers? Speaking of which, I tuned into AirAmerica (a liberal network) to see what they were saying after the election. Jeanine Gerafalo (?) said forefathers, but wished it hasn't been just men.... how quaint.

Or the neo-America?

Part of the issue is what should be the defining characteristic of America? Is it universal healthcare? Big government to take care of all your needs? The ability to start at the bottom and work your way up? The opportunity, but not the guarantee, of success?

Therein lies the problem. Rather than everyone agreeing on the ideal, extremists push for their agendas and tear at the people in the middle.

For me, I am rather grateful as I am a right leaning, tax-less, school choice, goverment leave me alone type. But, that's just me.
