Polarized Prescription Sunglasses

Hey gang any of you feller glasses wearing folks ever get prescription sunglasses? I just got my pair so I can see while driving and when looking at the LCD screen on the sat radio is has a rainbow in it and so does the world out side when looking though my tinted windows. Is this just nature of the polarization? or should I go back and say what the because its crystal clear like my normal glasses are other wise

Thats the same with any polarized glasses. I have the same issue with my polarized glasses, non prescription. Believe it or not, you kind of get used to it after awhile.

its all good man. I have worn prescription sunglasses since I was a kid. Have to.

They make the world a nicer looking place to be. Well, sort of. There are some things that even rose-coloured glasses can't help.....

Least I know I am not crazy sure is nice to be able too see while driving again transitions in the every day glasses just don't cut it in the pickup because the windows filter the light and they don't darken hence the tinted windows and now with prescription sunglasses its nice again no squinting headaches.

I have used Polarized Prescription Sunglasses for years. Reason being here the dry and extreme cold dries them out to fast. They can now do some pretty extreme wraps in prescription glasses. I have the Bolle Mauritius CE Spiral 10426 They had to order the lens from Seattle, so they mailed them to me. Which took a couple weeks to get. Anyway the funny thing was with the extreme wrap, come a fish bowl effect. Would have been nice to know cause when I got them I tried them on at home, looking straight out I could see fantastic, but trying to walk while looking at the ground I about tripped, Everything looked curved downward around me, like I was on a mound. Freaked me out so much I called my eye doc. He kinda laughed and told me my eyes should adjust, which they did and are great now. I'm sure I will have to readjust to them now that we have sun shine again.

Wiley X sent me a pair by mistake a couple years ago.
Never had much experience with polarized so I was a little freaked out at first.

Love em now , takes glare off the road and water puddles and such.
Something bout the different planes of light. beyond me.

They do mess up the Ipod screen and cell phone screens though.

Looking thru a polarized lense is canceled when looking thru any other polarized glass (windshield). When driving, I have a set of clip-ons I use when driving into the sun.

Also, if I remember correctly, the "glare reducing coating", will cause a little bit of the rainbow effects on some bright objects at certain angles.

I have Gargoyle Matrix Polarized Prescription glasses, have had them going on 8yrs now...Love them. In moderate to light rain I don't even bother with my windshield wipers anymore. I do notice on certain LCD displays it's hard to read, but I know what buttons are important so it doesn't bother me much.

They even help protect my eyes from those jerk Dodge Cummins owners who wire up and run fogs and brights together.

That would be awesome but I think once I get used to the polarization rainbows on the screens of the satellite radio screen. so far I love the fact that I have sun glasses and its not fuzzy any more and I can drive with no headaches which was why I got glasses but in the summer was forced to drive with out them so I got the tiredness and headaches again.
