Evening folks.. hope all is well and everyone is doing fine..

Finally getting some springtime weather here, 70's today, chance of severe storms with high winds hail, and the remote possibilty of a 'nado or two...YEA!!!

Cougar, I got cold just looking at those pics, tho the moose grazing on the tree was cool..Im too thin blooded for that kinda place tho..

Heidi, had pancakes for dinner, topped with your syrup, YUMMY!!!! that stuff is GOOD! ( yes THE BOSS shared since I bought her a diamond bracelet last night)

Attended a fundraiser last night for the family's of two officers killed in the line of duty last December, both shot in the head during a suspicious vehicle stop. Funds are to send the family's to the National LEO Memorial Service in D.C. next month.. silent auction and all-you-can-eat spaghetti.. after eating as much as I did, kinda felt I had to buy something.. lost out on a Springfield Arms 45., got outbid by $5, but picked up a years membership to a local range cheap and a few other toys..
It was really touching to see the community turn-out and support given to these to family's. Got to visit with a lot of old buddies I used to work with and hadnt seen in awhile, a nice evening..

Well, Im off to see whats happening on the great world wide web...

BE SAFE!!

Lightning just got here. Got .20 yesterday morning, maybe we'll get another inch in the next couple days.

Looking online at Camaro's. A couple friends have one, and they have them built, going to have to get myself one.

Back was a pinched nerve or something. Started bugging me early, used the side of the pick-up to snap my back a few times, and it went away.

That's appropriate.

Morning all.

Tuesday, April 9th.

1833 - Peterborough, NH, opened the first municipally supported public library in the United States.

1865 - At Appomattox Court House, Virginia, General Robert E. Lee surrendered his Confederate Army to Union General Ulysses S. Grant in the parlor of Wilmer McClean's home. Grant allowed Rebel officers to keep their sidearms and permitted soldiers to keep their horses and mules. Though there were still Confederate armies in the field, the war was officially over. The four years of fighting had killed 360,000 Union troops and 260,000 Confederate troops.

1866 - The Civil Rights Bill passed over U.S. President Andrew Johnson's veto.

1867 - The U.S. Senate ratified the treaty with Russia that purchased the territory of Alaska by one vote.

1869 - The Hudson Bay Company ceded its territory to Canada.

1940 - Germany invaded Norway and Denmark.

1942 - In the Battle of Bataan, American and Filipino forces were overwhelmed by the Japanese Army.

1945 - At Bari, Italy, the Liberty exploded and killed 360 people. The ship was carrying aerial bombs.

1947 - 169 people were killed and 1,300 were injured by a series of tornadoes in Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas.

1957 - The Suez Canal was cleared for all shipping.

1959 - NASA announced the selection of America's first seven astronauts.

1963 - Winston Churchill became the first honorary U.S. citizen.

1968 - Murdered civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr., was buried.

1976 - The U.S. and Russia agreed on the size of nuclear tests for peaceful use.

1981 - The U.S. Submarine George Washington struck and sunk a small Japanese freighter in the East China Sea. The Nissho Maru's captain and first mate died.

1983 - The space shuttle Challenger concluded it first flight.

1998 - The National Prisoner of War Museum opened in Andersonville, GA, at the site of an infamous Civil War camp.

Today's thought:
If the 2nd amendment guarantees our right to bear arms, why do we still need a license?

C0ffee & ph00 are served.

Saw this today on one of those "Motivational" posters picturing someone exiting a damaged aircraft.

"If you hear me say eject, eject, eject, the last two will be an echo, because you'll be the only one still in the plane."
Attributed to a pilot giving a pre-flight briefing to a "ride-a-long".

Another pictured a mighty Navy warship with the caption:
ANY ship can be a Minesweeper............ONCE.

8 year auto loans? Are people really this dumb?

I guess I should know that answer, I mean, someone did come up with the "interest-only" mortgage.

As long as people are dumb enough to willingly spend 50 or 60 grand for a pickup truck, I guess they'll be equally dumb, (I believe the bank calls them 'qualified'), to take the 8 year loan.

Morning all.

Wednesday, April 10th.

1825 - The first hotel opened in Hawaii.

1849 - Walter Hunt patented the safety pin. He sold the rights for $100.

1865 - During the American Civil War, at Appomattox, General Robert E. Lee issued his last order.

1912 - The Titanic set sail from Southampton, England.

1941 - In World War II, U.S. troops occupied Greenland to prevent **** infiltration.

1941 - Ford Motor Co. became the last major automaker to recognize the United Auto Workers as the representative for its workers.

1945 - German Me 262 jet fighters shot down ten U.S. bombers near Berlin.

Hey DTR! rain for all of you you need it! good for my fresh stock plantings too!

cuz had to text me that it was gonna be hot in CA today, good news was that parole board again denied the jerk who killed our loved one.
sorry CA taxpayers....still agree with the Auburn system of letting them sit alone until they lose their mind. Elmira system let them work and get educated for rehabilitation.....we know how that worked.

one squirrel down, hubby used my RCMP scoped marlin. he agreed, one big squirrel. I have to practice more with the AR to get in on the fun

news tires on, I can't order different tires like the old days due to ABS and sensors now.....I feel old and stupid. but they know me....

hot tub for Fiver........soak them bones!! Justin too!!
