Tim and Davey, Jake says thanks! Put a camera or food in front of him and he'll do anything... kinda like Cincy!

Morning all.
Today is Wednesday. May 11th.
On this day in 1858 - Minnesota was admitted as the 32nd U.S. state.
1889 - Major Joseph Washington Wham takes charge of $28,000 in gold and silver to pay troops at various points in the Arizona Territory. The money was stolen in a train robbery.
1910 - Glacier National Park in Montana was established.
1934 - A severe two-day dust storm stripped the topsoil from the great plains of the U.S. and created a "Dust Bowl." The storm was one of many.
1944 - A major offensive was launched by the allied forces in central Italy.
1947 - The creation of the tubeless tire was announced by the B.F. Goodrich Company.
1985 - More than 50 people died when a flash fire swept a soccer stadium in Bradford, England.
1996 - An Atlanta-bound ValuJet DC-9 caught fire shortly after takeoff from Miami and crashed into the Florida Everglades. All 110 people on board were killed.
1998 - India conducted its first underground nuclear tests, three of them, in 24 years. The tests were in violation of a global ban on nuclear testing.
1998 - A French mint produced the first coins of Europe's single currency. The coin is known as the euro.
2001 - U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft announced his decision to approve a 30-day delay of the execution of convicted Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh. McVeigh had been scheduled to be executed on May 16, 2001. The delay was because the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) had failed to disclose thousands of documents to McVeigh's defense team.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there.
Thanks phor the coffee and ph00 Davey!

My eye is clearing up. Must have gotten something in there. Probably a stick.
I did the eye wash a couple times yesterday which helped.
No DoDo in the Phoo00 cuz its bubbling and boiling just a bit too much for me to mess with. Looks like there is a sleeve hanging out of it.
Scott, nice dog. Short hair compared to you. Looks like a good buddy.
Jakes come in all sorts of color's. A friend over in ID has a black and white one.
Neighbor here has a brown and white one.
Back to work today for five. Then off for two, on for one and off for SEVEN while I build the garage/shop!
I will have to take some pix. Enjoy the day.

As far as Arny I'm really surprised, they've been pretty solid. Makes you wonder if all the dirt must have been true.

Morning crew. Worked on the electric brakes on the bobcat trailer last night. The Brakesmart keeps squawking there's a short in the wiring. I changed on magnet, tied up some wires that had got loose and now I'm pulling 10 amps across 4 magnets, just right. I may have to go back into one wheel because the adjuster wouldn't adjust the way I'd like. I'll run it a couple days first. Got a couple chains to sharpen this morning too.
Anyway, the reason he's 'Jake' is because we wanted a fire service related name that wasn't real obvious, and in New England a 'Jake' is a good firefighter. I thought that was pretty much a nation-wide accepted term within the fire service, but out here in the mid-west they've never heard of it. In Buffalo NY if they call you a Jake, you're a slacker. So the whole Jake thing kinda back-fired on us, but to us he's still a good Jake.
Scotty, I don't know if you know it or not, but Jake is a part, (a BIG part), of our fire safety programs for kids, (JAKE). He has his own facebook page too and has more friends than I do, which is no surprise actually.

Good info. Nice that the dog is a working dog too. I will check him out later on.
The Jake down the street is an English Terrier.
The one in Idaho is a umm err a dang what do they call them...Border Collie? Yeah I think thats it.
One day I may get a dog here when my daughter is just a bit older. I may acquire one of the rejects from my buddy's law enforcement dogs. He calls them rejects after he has worked with them for 2 yrs and they are not where he wants them to be with their handler's. They are great pets with a heck of a lot more training then most dogs. I would have to learn some German for some of the commands though. Its not often that he gets these but I know of a few that turned out to be awesome pets and protectors.
Link no worky.
Jake knows ya like him Rick! He appreciates the comments too, but he doesn't have to have them to know he's well thought of. I post too many pics of him here to expect a comment everytime. Black labs are hard to photograph because they're, well, BLACK! Those 2 I were pretty decent ones tho, so that's why I posted them. They showed his features pretty well for a change!
That's strange. I can't find anything wrong with it either. Here's the address;

Got the link to work, but now I can't color it.

Mornin' all!
Been busy around here. No surprise as its almost summer and maintenance season is taking off.
2 ak post op has me returning to normal duty as long as I'm cautious.... Good to hear that. Especially since I did that a week ago.
Gotta rebuild a door hinge on the truck today. It's starting to sag pretty bad and catch the fender when opening.....
