So my brother made Team Canada - Baseball. they earned a berth at the olympics by winning a qualifying tournament last fall. So he left his Double AA team in Frisco TX last night and is bound for Bejing. Theres a stop over in Toronto tommorrow, Team Canada is going to be announced before the Blue Jays game tommorrow (Wed.) Listen for the name Emerson Frostad. Catcher. Then they fo to the Carolinas some where to rockout with Team USA or something.....then off to the Games.

Congrats to your brother! I looked him up on the net, and it looks like he also has played 1st base, correct? I bet he likes to play on the road more then home with the B.A. he's had at home the last 2 years. July has not been kind to him either. Good luck to him!

 

Thanks guys, he sure does play 1st Catch and 3rd. He was drafted as a 3rd baseman, then was rapidly shunted over to 1. then last year the Rangers asked if he would get behind the dish, as they though his best shot at the bigs was catching. they like his Bat. when its on. he was injured there was one time he was out for about 3 weeks in the summer. nothing serious, maybe it was July.
