We had a fire in a shute in the coal plant in my district, what a pain to get to and put out. Glad thing are well for you.
Thanks Tim, it wa s re-engine years ago with a N/A 855 Cummins. Neat tghis is the 855 was never ran so it still like brand new.

Those coal fires suck. No fires at my plant in a long time but the coal pile is hot. If certian parts sit long enough without being touched the coal ashes over. Gotta be very careful arund the dust though, it'll spark a fire quick.

Short trip this time. First time my Father in-law will be by himself. Still I have to go to CA for some plowing and pruning. Should be back mid May. Let me know if you guys wind up around Anchorage. I might make a Costco trip.

REALLY Nasty Thunder-Boomers rolled through the area early this morning.

Coffee's on, donut delivery driver must be stuck in traffic.

Just got off the phone with Wifey at Casa del Shovelhead, she said she heard a loud noise this AM when the storm came through.
She was back inside after the sun started peeking out to see what it was.
She saw a large tree fell and JUST missed falling on the (almost finished) Man Cave.

These pics were taken yesterday.
Thankfully it still looks the same this morning.

Better get it before someone else does. My visitors in about 3 hours (who knows what I missed while working) were: 2 coyotees, two gators (3' and 6"), 1 fox squirrel (haven't seen one of them in years), 2 bald eagles, multiple hawks, two red fox. Had fun watching but it is distracting.

Morning gang - - looking for some rain today, but nothing so far. Busy day including funeral. Soooo, off and getting going - - have fun.

Well FIX IT!

Morning.

Today is Tuesday, April 5th.

On this day in 1614 - American Indian Pocahontas married English colonist John Rolfe in Virginia.

1621 - The Mayflower sailed from Plymouth, MA, on a return trip to England.

1792 - U.S. President George Washington cast the first presidential veto. The measure was for apportioning representatives among the states.

1869 - Daniel Bakeman, the last surviving soldier of the U.S. Revolutionary War, died at the age of 109.

1923 - Firestone Tire and Rubber Company began the first regular production of balloon tires.

1941 - German commandos secured docks along the Danube River in preparation for Germany’s invasion of the Balkans.

1999 - In Laramie, WY, Russell Henderson pled guilty to kidnapping and felony murder in the death of Matthew Shepard.

2009 - North Korea launched the Kwangmyongsong-2 rocket, prompting an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
How does a shelf salesman keep his store from looking empty?

Good coffee this mornin'... tastes kinda 'Navy-ish'.
